Terms of Service

Age Requirements:

You must be 18+ in order to commission us or buy any of our fursuits premades! All commissioners and customers must agree they are 18+. If we suspect you are underage, WE WILL ASK FOR ID. All information is kept private between myself and the commissioner. You have the right to only show up your age and name.

Stylistic limitations and Character References Sheet:

We focus on toony style suits. We will not aim to appeal to any commissioners wanting to have their suits in a style that’s not ours. It is highly encouraged to look through our gallery before getting a quote and/or commission slot from us.

When sending in your character for a quote, we will require a reference sheet of the following:

2/3 pose sheet: Front, back, and/or side view
Unshaded and clear color palette
Digital Reference sheet (not traditional)
Species
A combination of artwork of your character (Optional)

If you don’t have a reference sheet, We do offer them starting at $80 USD. But here are a few artist we HIGHLY recommend:

Payment:

If you are chosen for a slot, you must make a 30% non-refundable down payment IN ORDER to reserve your spot. The down payment must be immediate! If payment is not received within a 7 day span, you will lose your slot. This down payment indicates you have read our terms of service and agree to it. We only take payments through Paypal, CashApp, or in person, if you see us have a booth at a convention. Unless technology issues, we will reserve other methods if nessicary.

Work will not start until the suit is paid off in full!

Those who pay in full or shorter payment plans will take higher priority.

Payment Plans:

We do accept payment plans. This will be discussed between the client and us. Once a settlement has been agreed upon, it will be noted and written upon agreement. We are pretty leant to how the client would wish to go about their payment plan. You MUST 30% upon accepting commission, which is the down payment. It is recommended that you pay in 2-4 increments before you suit will be strarted. You will not receive your suit or commissioned product until it is paid in full! These are for fursuit heads, partials, Plantigrade, Digitigrade, or expensive fursuit parts! For fursuit parts such as paw, tails, arm sleeves, leg sleeves etc., I rather the customer pay the price in full before I start the commission. If you are unable to do so, contact me and I will be to work something out.

Art:

Art commissions DO NOT have payment plans! The reason is because the art commissions are a flat price and only take a few days to complete with consistent work. We do not really like taking payment plans while doing art. We may take some exceptions, on occasion. If you are one of those circumstances, you will not receive your commission until it is paid and full!

WIP, Communication, Allergies:

I DO LIVE WITH 2 CATS!

For the record: I do live in a household with 2 cats and one bearded dragon! I try to keep the cats out of my work area, but they do sometimes get in there. If you are allergic to cats, please keep that in mind when you come to commission us and let us know. We will do our best to keep cat dander away from your suit.

Once I start on your commission, I will send you regular WIPs as much as I can. I cannot put a timeframe on when your commission will get done since I do this part-time. I have a full-time job so my time is limited per week. I will get done as much as I can.

Before I start your commission, I will discuss any details you wish for the commissions. I prefer Telegram or email as the easiest method for me, but I can work around with e-mail or Discord. Please do keep in mind that not all fur colors will match your character 100% of the time. I will send you the links for the fur I will have chosen for your commissions before I order the materials.

Changes to character design before supplies is ordered is fine and free of charge, but cannot be changed once your suit has been started. Minor changes are fine, but fees may apply depending on how large. This can be a case-by-case scenario.

During your WIP of your suit, I will provide draw overs, double check designs, and progress pictures. Changes must be made before completed suit part is finished, once its made I will not change any aspect. Please communicate any changes or mistakes when progress photos are given.

Deadlines, Delays, Shipping:

Larger commissions and projects are subject to be completed within 10 to 14 weeks upon starting.

I prefer to not go with deadlines as it will rush the commission and decrease the quality. Most of the time I will turn down deadlines, but if I want it by a certain convention and I happen to be going there as well. I will convection deliveries, but not too often.

Delays are bound to happen. Do not quote me to give your said date, there are a lot of factors that could be the reason why your commission is to be delayed. These delays are subject to, but are not limited to:

Position in Queue
Workload
Outside disturbances (work, family, etc.)
Complexity of your or other projects

Warranty And Repairs:

If your fursuit happens to become damaged within 90 days after you’ve received it, I will fix it for free. This includes, but not limited to, ripped seams or holes, damaged eyes, areas where adhesives or glues fail, etc. We do not cover self-inflicted damage upon the suit, wear and tear, incorrect sizing parts on the commissioner's behalf (gives us a head circumference size of 22, but in reality, your head is 23 inches around). Any modifications or repairs done that’s not us will void the warranty. I will not fix any modifications done by another maker!

Prices on Repairs will be a case-by-case scenario judged by what is needed to be done on the head. I will require pictures of the damages or upgrades you would like on your head. Payment plans on repairs are welcomed and will be discussed with customers, accordingly. A minimum payment of 30% down to ensure the repairs. Payment will be needed within 7 business days.

Refunds/Cancellations:

If a commission has to be canceled by the client or must be canceled by Cownose Cove due to client neglect/ unreasonable behavior, the 30% down payment is unrefundable under any circumstances. Refunds happening once suit is started will have to de determined by progress on commission has been done. Cownose Cove does reserve the right to keep partially started or completed parts from cancelled commissions. These parts will be changed from commissioner's character design and resold or repurposed

Cownose Cove does reserve the right to cancel any commissioner if the client is harassing, threatening, or any unreasonable behavior with client!

If by any reason Cownose Cove cannot complete the commission due to illness, family death, natural disaster, etc., Client will get a 100% refund back including the 30% down payment. Commissioner will be given any completed parts from that said commission.

If we are unable to contact you through any of our social medias such as email or telegram for up to three months, commission is considered abandoned. We reserve right to keep all money. It's your responsibility to communicate with Cownose Cove.

When you completed suit is recieved and there's an issue with consturction, please contact us as soon as possible. We are more than willing to work with any clients about any issue they have with the construction with the suit. As long as the suit has not been altered without our knowledge and its within 90 days warrenty period, Cownose Cove will cover the all costs and shipping.

Shipping:

Shipping is NOT included in your quote. This is to accurately quote the flautuating shipping price and your preference. Shipping will be covered by the client, you the commissioner. The cost of the shipping will include things such as shipping supplies, insurance cost, tape, packaging, etc. All clients will be sent an invoice throught PayPal or square through Cownose Cove. Commission will not be sent until payment as been sent.

For US customers, we will be shipping through USPS or UPS. All items will and must be fully insured and tracked. Projects can be picked up locally at a public meeting place or at a convention we will going to (and have agreed upon).

For International customers, shipping will take a while so we can locate proper carrier and fill out proper information on customs forms. International customers are full responsibler for their countries' import fees and tariffs. These may apply to the shipping fee paid to Cownose Cove.

We do conventions pickups! These happen if I am going to same convention as you and I managed to have it done by then! We DO NOT do convetion deadlines.

Social Media:

Cownose Coves reserves rights to post work in progress and finished photos of any completed projects any any social media sites as they want. Clients cannot request photos to be removed by any reason or under circumstances!
